What it is
If someone cannot perform Umrah due to death, illness, or disability, another Muslim may do Umrah on their behalf. This is called Umrah Badal.
Evidence: Sahih Bukhari 1852, Sahih Muslim 1149.

Rewards
From one Umrah to the next, sins are forgiven. Accepted Hajj has no reward but Jannah. (Bukhari 1773)
Who helps another in good gets an equal reward. (Muslim 1893)
